We often find signs on doors are non-existant or do not meet the requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA). The following is an short extract from the BCA 2009 that clearly outlines the requirements for fire safety doors.
Fire Smoke & Exit Door - Service Identification Label
The "Fire Smoke & Exit Door - Service Identification Label" is used by Maintenance Essentials to record the inspections carried out on Fire Smoke & Exit Doors.
The Label shall meet the following specifications;
- Reflex Yellow in Colour
- Black Print
- 38mm wide x 95mm high
Artwork shall be in accordance with the attached design
